We keep as little as we can, we use it only to price your job and get back to you, and we never sell it.

Who we are

Guyva Brickwork, bricklayers working across London and the surrounding areas. We are responsible for the information on this page. To ask us anything about your details, email info@guyvabrickwork.co.uk.

Asking us for a quote

The form on this site asks for your name, your phone number, your email address, which kind of work you need, and whatever you want to tell us about the job. The phone number is there because pricing brickwork over email alone rarely works — it is quicker to ring you.

We use those details to quote and to reply, and for nothing else. You are not added to a mailing list for asking us for a price.

We keep enquiries for about a year so we can look back at a conversation, then they go. Where we have actually done the work, we have to keep the invoice for six years because HMRC requires it. That is the one thing we cannot delete on request, and we will tell you if it applies to you.

Photographs of the work

We photograph jobs for the gallery on this site. Those are pictures of brickwork, not of addresses — we do not publish where a job was without asking first.

Counting visits

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits without cookies and without anything that identifies you. It tells us how many people looked at the site this week. It cannot tell us who they were, and that is exactly why we chose it.

Things loaded from elsewhere

The areas section shows a Google map. That is loaded by Google as you view the page, so Google can see your internet address and may set its own cookies, in the same way it would if you had opened Google Maps yourself. Everything else on the page comes from our own server.

The website server

Our server keeps a short record of requests made to the site, including the internet address they came from, and a line for each enquiry sent through the form. We use it to spot someone trying to break in or to flood us with spam, and it is deleted when the site is next updated.

Who else sees any of this

Appy Web Studio, who build and run this website for us, and the email service they use to deliver form enquiries to our inbox. Both only handle it to provide their service to us. Nobody buys this information from us and nobody is given it for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it — apart from the invoices above. You can also tell us to stop using it. Just email us; you do not need to explain why, and it costs nothing.

If you are not happy

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
